He regularly edited and proofread newspaper copy, planned and designed pages and handled photography duties. He also appeared on a weekly television news program to discuss current affairs.
Jesef’s career later shifted to marketing and public relations for the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville and its affiliate hospital, UF Health Jacksonville. Experiences and responsibilities included publication management and strategic planning, along with speechwriting, internal communications, marketing copywriting, branding, media relations, multimedia production and social media management.
Jesef, who is formally trained in public speaking, holds a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University and a bachelor’s degree in mass communication — with a concentration in print journalism — from Winthrop University.
