Why I think Content Marketing is boring and what I am doing to change that!
Meet Kristin Meeks, an entrepreneur who has successfully helped businesses and nonprofits be less boring on social media (and beyond) for the past 12 years. Kristin will share how she beats the boredom in the world of content marketing by prioritizing quality of quantity, sharing her favorite tools to help you stay organized, and give you some real-life successes and failures from her own clients and others on how you can stay relevant online.
Bio:
Kristin Meeks is the founder and owner of WV Social Media Consultants, LLC located in Parkersburg, WV. In 2010, Meeks founded this unique niche marketing firm, where she has successfully helped businesses and nonprofits reach their audiences through digital marketing. Kristin has a proven track record of assessing social media needs, creating a plan and executing strategic marketing practices with her clients from coast to coast.
A graduate of the Integrated Marketing Communications (M.S.) program at West Virginia University, she was named one of the Generation Next 40 under 40 in West Virginia in 2015.
She also holds a bachelor’s in Marketing from Marietta College, and was named Entrepreneur of the Year, and was Young Business Leader of the Year by her local Chamber of Commerce in 2014. Her business received Women-Owned Business of the Year in 2016. She was recently awarded Business Person of the Year in 2019 and Spirit of the Community in 2020.
Kristin stays active in her community serving as a steering committee member of Women Build for Habitat of Humanity of the MOV, Downtown PKB (Mainstreet Parkersburg), and sitting on the advisory board for Nonprofits LEAD at Marietta College. She resides in Williamstown, WV with her husband Tim and their 9-year-old daughter Caroline where they enjoy biking the river trails, swimming and family yoga!
